Category Buyer, CMO

Job Summary:The Category Buyer, CMO will be responsible for executing the purchasing category strategy for assigned products in their category. This includes providing support to all assigned locations, managing relationships with key suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze inventory and CMO operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, manage, and assess purchasing and inventory performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Source reliable suppliers and vendors that meet our quality and compliance standards.
- Negotiate competitive pricing and contracts with suppliers.
- Issue and maintain supplier policies, and review existing contracts to ensure ongoing feasibility.
- Work closely with the quality department to qualify new products and ensure product availability.
- Handle rejected orders and negotiate returns with suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience working in purchasing or procurement.
- Ability to build relationships with Contract Manufacturers Organizations (CMOs).
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and experience working with an ERP system are required.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and French (oral and written).
