Executive Chef

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Mughal Mahal Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Operations:
    • Plan, prepare, and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods;
    • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef;
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization;
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food;
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations;
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment;
    • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment;
    • Organize buffets and banquets to meet customer expectations;
    • Manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth service delivery;
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
    • Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation;
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines;
    • Be available to work overtime when needed;
    • Meet physically demanding requirements, including standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience:
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required;
    • At least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively interact with customers and staff;
    • Client-focused attitude to provide exceptional service;
    • Dependable and reliable to ensure smooth kitchen operations;
    • Flexible to adapt to changing situations and priorities;
    • Initiative to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities;
    • Judgment to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment;
    • Organized to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment;
    • Team player to collaborate with colleagues and support the kitchen team;
