Academic Instructor

Dalhousie University is seeking a highly qualified instructor to teach MGMT 6570: Equity and Diversity in the Public Sector. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in public administration or a related field and recent or current experience at the executive level within government departments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and present course material for the distance portion of the course using online tools and technologies.
- Prepare and present course material for the intensive study portion of the course, including preparation and grading of final exams or projects.
- Supervise and maintain responsibility for regular student contact through the course site during the distance education portion of the course.
- Provide a venue that supports student engagement and learning.
- Meet strict deadlines and delivery schedules.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence at the graduate level, experience in course development, and successful experience in course delivery in a distance education mode. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a master's degree in public administration, have recent or current experience at the executive level within government departments, and have experience in equity and diversity in the public sector.
