Job Description:

We seek an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee construction activities on-site. As the primary point of contact for project teams, you will ensure seamless execution within established design, budget, and scheduling guidelines. Your top priority will be maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily construction activities, adhering to set deadlines and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement master schedules with input from project teams, including subcontractors.
  • Interpret and apply plan specifications across various disciplines.
  • Create and maintain weekly lookahead schedules, job reports, and logs.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to review costs against budgets and ensure project compliance.
  • Maintain high-quality control measures and estimate costs accurately.
  • Supervise staff, provide constructive feedback, and monitor project progress.
  • Coordinate inspections, obtain necessary permits, and enforce safety and quality protocols.
  • Arrange equipment maintenance, manage material stock, and maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  • Address on-site issues and emergencies promptly.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A Red Seal Trade certification, preferably in carpentry, with at least 5 years of experience in trades.
  • Minimum 5 years as a Site Superintendent in commercial, institutional, and multi-family construction.
  • Completion of two successful projects from start to finish in multi-family wood frame construction.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Bluebeam.
  • A strong safety background, with NCSO designation an asset.
  • Possession of a post-secondary undergraduate diploma or degree, preferably in construction management, supervision, or operations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support others.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
