Part Time Sales and Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated Part Time Sales and Operations Leader to join our team at Lush Handmade Cosmetics. This role is responsible for leading the sales floor, driving sales, and providing exceptional customer service.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service and sales, as well as supervisory experience involving coaching, feedback, and training. They will be passionate about skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business practices.
Responsibilities- Drive sales by utilizing store metrics to inform coaching and feedback to the sales team, making adjustments to the shop floor structure as needed.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service on the sales floor, including product demonstrations, observing and listening to consultations, collaborating with the team, and striving to exceed daily sales goals.
- Educate customers on Lush brand values and articulate our position on fighting animal testing, freshest cosmetics, ethical buying, 100% vegetarian, handmade, and naked packaging.
- Increase product knowledge through constant learning and make informed product recommendations for every need.
- Train and coach Sales Ambassadors and peers on effective sales techniques and product knowledge to improve their performance, support the growth of your team, and increase sales.
- Encourage open communication and actively listen to team members' perspectives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). Foster a sense of belonging by promoting teamwork, encouraging collaboration, and recognizing and valuing each employee's unique contributions.
- Manage cash handling, including customer transactions, opening/closing the register, reconciling cash drawers, preparing nightly deposits, and securing the store at the end of each day.
- Lead by example in terms of attendance and punctuality, and encourage the same from all employees.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and sales.
- Supervisory experience involving coaching, feedback, and training.
- Passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business practices.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This is an hourly wage position with an estimated salary range of $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience. The total annual salary would be approximately $37,440 - $45,760 per year, based on a 20-29 hour workweek.
