Field Property Claims Specialist, New Brunswick

We're seeking a skilled Field Property Claims Specialist to support our growing team in New Brunswick. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing quality service and prompt, equitable valuations of claims in line with our corporate policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field inspections to evaluate property damage and assess replacement or restoration requirements, including direct and in-person contact with insured, claimants, and service providers.
- Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to maintain quality service and competitiveness.
- Maintain effective communication channels with claims departments.
- Coach other appraisers and adjusters when required.
- Establish and maintain productive business relationships and liaise with repair facilities and other service providers.
- Assist in the screening and review of vendor performance to meet professional and corporate standards.
- Prepare repair estimates and obtain cost agreements from contractors or quotations on restoration/replacement.
- Prepare total loss evaluations and facilitate their disposal, if applicable.
- University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
- Minimum 3 years experience in property claims.
- High-level knowledge of the Xactimate/XactAnalysis estimating software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mitigation (IICRC), construction, and repair procedures.
- Effective verbal communication skills, with experience in interviewing, coaching others, and dealing with clients.
- Good written communications skills to draft claims reports.
- Have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
