Regulated Pharmacy Technician Role

At London Drugs, we are seeking a skilled Regulated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our company.

In this position, you will assist pharmacists and pharmacy managers with daily operations, including customer service, telephone inquiries, and general housekeeping duties. You will also operate the pharmacy computer, assist in the processing of prescriptions, and prepare prescriptions for our patients. Additionally, you will be responsible for ordering and receiving drug orders, managing the pharmacy department's inventory, and participating in professional roles such as Travel Medicine, INR monitoring, CDE, and Long term care.

To succeed in this role, you must have completed all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs and passed the exams. You must also be registered with the respective College of Pharmacy in the province of employment. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.

As a Regular Part-Time employee, you will be scheduled a minimum of 1456 hours per year, up to 40 hours per week, as needed. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists and pharmacy managers with daily operations.
  • Provide customer service and respond to telephone inquiries.
  • Operate the pharmacy computer and assist in the processing of prescriptions.
  • Prepare prescriptions for patients.
  • Manage the pharmacy department's inventory.

Requirements:
  • Completed all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs.
