Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrator, Accounting Operations to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. In this role, you will participate in the implementation of large-scale initiatives within Finance Services, having a direct impact on Members of Parliament, House Officers, and the entire House of Commons Administration.

You will provide essential support by offering a range of accounting and financial services to various stakeholders of the House, including managers and employees of the Administration.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing financial advice and support to stakeholders
  • Implementing large-scale initiatives within Finance Services
  • Participating in the interpretation and application of accounting standards
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • A post-secondary school degree or diploma in accounting, finance, commerce, or business administration related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experience
  • Recent experience in applying accounting or finance principles and best practices
  • Experience providing financial advice
  • Experience in a related field to this position such as bookkeeping or accounts payable
  • Experience providing client services
  • Experience using an Integrated Financial System

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. You will also receive:
