Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

This position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a defined contribution pension plan with employer matching, prescription, dental, and paramedical benefits with employer-paid premiums, three weeks paid vacation, ten sick days, and two floater days.

Job DescriptionProgram Development and Member Management

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to play a key role in helping the industry collaboratively tackle benefits fraud and grow our Anti-Fraud programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of benefit fraud, key issues, and opportunities affecting members and the broader industry;
  • Maintaining current knowledge of member company/industry practices, government policies, and the broader anti-fraud environment;
  • Identifying emerging developments in this space and working with CLHIA's Government Relations and the VP, Anti-Fraud to assess implications;
  • Informing stakeholders of current and developing issues and opportunities;
  • Making recommendations for growing/improving industry programs;
Advocacy and Stakeholder Management

The Senior Manager will also participate in advocacy for the Anti-Fraud program, engaging with members, colleagues, regulators, government representatives, and law enforcement on advocacy issues. This includes preparing submissions, briefings, public consultations, and other relevant documents to advance the industry's interests.

Industry Leadership and Communications

The Senior Manager will lead non-operational initiatives important to the industry, such as education campaigns, market campaigns, and member-based marketing and publications. They will also develop, promote, and implement a successful annual conference, including designing the program, selecting speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A university degree in a related field with 5-7 years of experience working in life and health insurance benefits and fraud management;
  • Relevant industry accreditations;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation);
  • Proven team player with experience working collaboratively with small departmental management teams;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization;
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and research skills needed to analyze issues, develop options, and recommendations;
