Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Connecting Dots - Dave Barr. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development.
  • Lead activities, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, to encourage learning and exploration.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care setting.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and certifications, such as Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1), Child Development Supervisor (ECE level 3), and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
