Full-Time Palliative Care Nurse Leader

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Full-Time Palliative Care Nurse Leader to join our interdisciplinary team at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre/Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job DescriptionAs a Palliative Care Nurse Leader, you will be responsible for providing high-quality end-of-life care to residents at Stedman Community Hospice. You will lead the nursing team in developing, implementing, and communicating resident care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
You will champion evidence-based best practices in pain and symptom management, end-of-life care, and palliative care, promoting a patient-centered approach to care. Your strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex situations will ensure excellent patient outcomes.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to develop and mentor junior staff members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Degree in Registered Nursing (BScN or equivalent)
- CPR and First Aid certification required; CNA certification in Hospice Palliative Care Nursing an asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing, preferably in palliative care or hospice setting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
