Job Description

Olympic Roadside is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes.

About the Job

This is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week and will be required to operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, trailers, and other vehicles to transport goods and materials
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to transportation
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle condition and safety
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to any issues or concerns
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Criminal record check and driver's validity license check
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
