Senior Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Charles River Laboratories. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating hazards and improving workplace safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver health and safety training programs.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety matters.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Bilingual (English and French, written and spoken) is an asset.
