Dental Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Heritage Family Dental Centre. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
- Supply Management: Order dental and office supplies, maintaining a well-stocked inventory to ensure seamless operations.
- Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, adhering to strict sterilization protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Administrative Support: Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and maintaining accurate records.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, promoting healthy habits and empowering them to take control of their dental health.
- Communication: Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and staff.
- Diagnostic Support: Assist with taking and developing X-rays, providing critical diagnostic information to our dentists.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records.
- Financial Transactions: Invoice patients for dental services, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Accessibility Support: Provide awareness training to employees, fostering a welcoming work environment for individuals with disabilities.
- Newcomer Support: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, promoting inclusivity and diversity.
- Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, empowering them to develop new skills and confidence.
- Veteran Support: Provide awareness training to employees, creating a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
- Indigenous Support: Offer cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees, promoting a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Mature Worker Support: Provide staff with awareness training, creating a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training, fostering a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
Work Environment: Our dental centre operates on a permanent schedule, with a standard 35-hour workweek. We prioritize a healthy work-life balance and offer a supportive team environment.
