Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and supervision to children, including feeding, bathing, and assisting with toilet training.
  • Engage children in various activities, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts, to promote their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including maintaining a clean and organized play area and adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of children.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure the well-being and success of children.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or educational setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move children, as well as to perform other duties as required.
  • First aid and CPR certification an asset.
