Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Education Instructor to join our team at Toronto IBI Inc. as a Disability Support Specialist. The successful candidate will work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs, providing education and support to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of clients
  • Collaborate with specialists to create programs that promote independence and life skills
  • Provide one-on-one support and guidance to clients in a general office or counselling centre setting
  • Assist clients in developing life skills, such as daily living skills and social skills
  • Work with clients to set and achieve goals, promoting independence and self-advocacy
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Special Education or Psychology
  • 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other special needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
