Collision Repair Technician

Career Overview:
CSN Collision is a leading auto body repair shop with multiple locations across Canada.
We are currently seeking a skilled and meticulous Collision Repair Technician to join our team as a Paint Prep Specialist. This role involves preparing vehicles for the painting process, which includes tasks such as sanding, priming, and masking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sand vehicle surfaces using sandpaper, grinders, or other tools to create a smooth surface for painting
- Apply masking tape and paper to protect areas of the vehicle that will not be painted
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
- Ensure proper adhesion of paint by removing dirt, debris, and imperfections from the surfaces
- Assist with mixing paint and primers according to manufacturer specifications
- Assist with operating and maintaining painting equipment and tools
- Collaborate with the painting team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality work
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Auto Body Prepper, in a similar role or a registered apprentice
- Knowledge of different types of sanding and masking techniques
- Familiarity with automotive paints, primers, and painting equipment
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM.
