Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to our clients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe, monitor, and report on client status and condition, including changes in physical and emotional status.
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately, adhering to policy and procedure.
  • Ensure that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Perform other related duties as required, in accordance with Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Physical capability to manage frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory.
  • Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset.
