Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused General Merchandise Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers with product inquiries, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by zoning assigned areas, recovering merchandise, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
  • Merchandise Management: Assist with the sale of merchandise by restocking shelves, processing transactions, and applying product protection when required.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and contribute to a safe and hazard-free work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds. You will also need to be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in retail sales or customer service is an asset. You will also need to be able to work in a team environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
