Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Waterloo. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and design team members to ensure effective project delivery
  • Execute and coordinate projects, providing technical design expertise
  • Manage project budgets and finances, ensuring timely completion and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Produce technical design information, including drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports
  • Review and approve reports, designs, drawings, sketches, and calculations in accordance with quality procedures
  • Supervise and support junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
  • Deliver high-quality work products, adhering to industry standards and best practices
Requirements:
  • HND/HNC in civil or structural engineering
  • Excellent understanding of engineering principles and design software
  • Experience in delegating and supervising junior team members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proactive approach to work, with a commitment to continual improvement
  • Ability to work effectively within and across teams and project groups
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Chartered engineer status and/or professionally qualified with ICE or IStructE
