Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. As a Senior Surveyor, you will provide professional surveying advice and technical expertise to government clients and assist other survey professionals on all aspects of the Canada Lands Surveys System.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on legal surveys and tenure documents.
  • Conduct field surveys and prepare instructions for contracting of legal surveys.
  • Work as part of a team to resolve complex boundary and land tenure issues.
  • Review survey returns from other professionals to ensure compliance with survey standards.
Essential Experience:

We require experience in providing legal survey services and advice to various client groups. You should have a strong background in land surveying, including experience in working with Indigenous Communities.

Asset Experience:

Experience in land surveying in remote areas or in Northern Canada is an asset. You may also have experience in working with, collaborating with, or providing services to Indigenous Communities.

Operational Requirements:

You must be able to work overtime and hold a valid driver's license.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and paid vacation time.
