Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

The Mixology Specialist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. This includes:

  • Mixing and serving drinks according to set standard recipes;
  • Assisting with serving tables, taking food & drink orders, running food & drinks, etc.;
  • Organizing and setting up the workspace before, during, and after each shift, including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, prep work, and proper maintenance of all bar equipment;
  • Knowledgeably presenting menus and recommendations to guests;
  • Greeting and welcoming guests to the restaurant while maintaining a professional appearance;
  • Operating a computerized point of sale system, completing financial transactions accurately, making changes, and running credit cards;
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage areas, inclusive of routine washroom checks and restocking of needed items via washroom checklist;
  • Contribution to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Basic math abilities to process financial transactions, company vouchers, group sales, etc.;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Ability to prioritize work and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment;
  • Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, and supervise and manage staff;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences;
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including support and compliance with company health and safety standards;
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day;
  • Minimum age of 19 years to serve alcohol in the Yukon;
  • Pass a pre-employment background check;
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
