As a key member of the Loblaw Companies Ltd - Head Office team, the Labour Relations Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the execution of labour relations strategies in partnership with the LR Managers. This position will be responsible for ensuring effective communication of existing/new policies and standards, establishing and maintaining constructive communication and effective working relationships with HR, Management, and designated union representatives.

Key responsibilities will include advising and providing support to the business on employee relations matters as they pertain to labour relations, the interpretation of the Collective Agreement and applicable employment legislation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labour relations or human resources, with 2-3 years of experience in a related field. A post-secondary education with a concentration in labour relations or human resources is preferred.

The Labour Relations Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and participating actively in the labour relations committee with the union, as well as providing analysis and necessary preparation for the collective bargaining process. A valid driver's license is required, and out-of-province travel to stores may be necessary.

A strong digital literacy in MS Office is essential, and retail experience is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
