Job Description:

  • Work closely with Engineering stakeholders to design and maintain a reliable, scalable, and secure platform.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Optimize existing deployment tooling and infrastructure, including but not limited to creating and maintaining new CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide DevOps domain expertise for existing projects and new initiatives.
  • Set up and maintain test environments for manual and automated testing.
  • Conduct and analyze results of vulnerability scanning and penetration testing and act on findings.
  • Plan and perform ongoing routine application maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for monitoring and alerting.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities within our infrastructure.

A Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and/or automation engineering.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS.
  • Experience with running and managing systems and services on a cloud platform (AWS).
  • Strong understanding of database technologies such as MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of Terraform and Packer.
  • Experience deploying cloud services, monitoring, alerting, and handling critical issues.
  • Agile development experience.
  • Works well in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to work without close supervision and thrive in an autonomous working environment that allows for high levels of freedom.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Technical curiosity and desire for continuous learning.

Nice To Have Skills:

  • AWS DevOps Engineer certification.
  • Experience with cloud-based security protocols.
