Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to join our team at Pixieset. As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading multiple engineering teams in developing and delivering high-quality customer-facing applications for photographers and creative professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor high-performing teams in a fast-paced development environment, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class web and mobile applications.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent projects, guaranteeing timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee application engineering activities, from development and release to maintenance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and goals across multiple engineering teams to align with business objectives and product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to address challenges, gather business and technical requirements, and design innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in application development, specializing in designing and building high-volume, highly available, and scalable backend services and web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, modern DevOps principles, security best practices, and cloud-based application development.
  • Possesses technical expertise and a people-centric approach, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Track record of building and scaling high-performing teams, consistently acting as a role model for peers and direct reports by leading through action.
