We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at BCIT. In this temporary, full-time position, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities to overcome barriers and achieve their educational goals.

About the Role:

  • Case management of support services for students with disabilities
  • Liaising with faculty, agencies, and medical professionals
  • Conducting interviews
  • Providing course and program information
  • Determining and implementing academic accommodations
  • Coordinating financial aid and adaptive technology

About You:

  • Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, or equivalent
  • Minimum five years' experience in the field working with clients with a broad range of disabilities (preferably in a post-secondary setting)
  • Demonstrated skills as a team player
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Windows software applications and the ability to provide data for reports
