Laboratory Operations Specialist

Job Summary
As a skilled Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory testing at Dynacare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain venous and capillary blood specimens from patients, adhering to strict quality control guidelines.
- Perform routine laboratory procedures, including urine collections and specimen preparations.
- Follow established protocols for handling infectious materials, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of test and control results, facilitating timely reporting and decision-making.
- Prepare quality control statistical reports on a monthly basis, contributing to process improvement.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibrations, ensuring optimal laboratory performance.
- Comply with all safety protocols, prioritizing the well-being of patients, staff, and self.
Requirements:
- Grade of a Laboratory Technician program or equivalent experience.
- Medical terminology knowledge is an asset.
- Experience with phlebotomy is a requirement.
- Ability to multitask and collaborate within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Capacity to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
