We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Counsellor to join our team at Broadview Village, a leading provider of support services for adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide overnight support to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being, while also promoting independence and community integration. This is a part-time position, working 32 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to meet program needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to residents, including personal care, hygiene, and advocacy.
- Develop and implement individual support plans, in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, as required, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services.
- Completed 2-3 year Developmental Services Worker Diploma or equivalent degree/diploma.
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Level C Certificate.
- Ability to achieve Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certificate.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License, an asset.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
- Experience with writing, implementing, and updating individual support plans.
