Advisor Services Associate

At Investment Planning Counsel, we're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Advisor Services Associate to join our Operations team. This role is a critical part of our client onboarding process, ensuring seamless transitions for our clients and advisors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage transfer requests with precision and efficiency, coordinating with partner firms and mutual fund companies to minimize delays.
  • Provide exceptional client service and support to advisors and sales assistants, ensuring timely and accurate transactional processing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with custodian partners to enhance service delivery and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share best practices and optimize the onboarding process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the business requirements.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience processing external account transfers.
  • Knowledge of relevant IIROC transfer processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Post-secondary education or industry equivalency.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience within the Financial Industry, preferably within a dealership.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business preferred.
  • Completion of CSC is an asset.
  • Experience working on the securities operations/client service environment with a good working knowledge of ISM platform and other back-office software solutions preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
