About the Role

Botpress, a leading Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider, seeks an experienced Financial Director for Financial Planning and Reporting. This is a pivotal position that oversees and optimizes Botpress's financial health, reporting, and planning as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience managing financial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and oversee our budgeting processes to enable strategic financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reporting, complying with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Cost Control & Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to optimize costs and drive profitability.
  • Audit & Compliance Management: Lead financial audits and manage compliance with regulatory standards to safeguard Botpress's financial health.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to provide financial guidance and ensure alignment on financial objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate financial processes using AI agents to enhance efficiency across departments.

About You

  • Financial Expertise: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial management or a similar role, preferably within a SaaS or PaaS environment.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven experience managing financial teams and collaborating across functions.
  • Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (required); CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification (preferred).
  • Adaptability: Experience in high-growth environments, with a proactive approach to adapting processes to evolving needs.
