Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to work on medium to major projects, managing the analysis, design, development, and user experience of all Engineering outreach systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analysis: Provide professional expertise and lead the analysis of client, business and functional requirements for projects of medium and large scope.
  2. Architect: Create technical designs and system specifications or plans to translate requirements into technical specification documents.
  3. Development and Testing: Develop and write complex programs, overseeing the work of others in developing effective program code.
  4. Operational management: Take a leadership role in user trends, technical trends, and metrics to improve the Engineering systems.
  5. Usability Testing: Lead usability studies with key stakeholders, analyzing results to determine enhancements to the system's design and user interfaces.
  6. Documentation and Process Development: Produce documentation touching all aspects of the design and architecture processes.
  7. Deployment and Maintenance: Coordinate release process for new and upgraded software, reviewing and identifying the requirement to repair and maintains current systems and software.
  8. Project Management: Provide guidance and leadership to project teams, establishing project steps, milestones, and timetables.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a university or college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of 5 years of experience developing and implementing software applications or large-scale web systems is also required.

Advanced knowledge of development using various technologies, libraries, and programming languages such as Javascript, Angular, HTML5, CSS, PHP, Ruby, JSON, JQuery, Composer, etc., is necessary.

Additionally, experience with stored procedures and the design of relational databases using MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, is required.

A proven track record of working with enterprise architecture and system design, integration testing, and best practices touching cloud technologies is also essential.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $91,917.00 and $114,078.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
