Member Services Support Associate

Job Summary:

Our Member Services Support Associate plays a vital role in building lasting relationships with our members and administering branch audit and operational functions. This role requires strong communication skills, business acumen, and a keen interest in the economic environment and financial trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform branch audit functions, including line of credit reviews and estate preparation, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Identify new business opportunities through ongoing call and contact programs, and refer to the Advisor Team for follow-up.
  • Assist with business promotion campaigns and monitor results to optimize performance.
  • Proactively engage with members to understand their banking needs, provide guidance, and identify sales and referral opportunities.
  • Actively listen to members to further understand their unique needs and establish a caring and exceptional service level.
  • Market all YNCU products and services within defined policies and procedures.
  • Recommend qualified referrals to the Advisor Team for consideration by the Wealth Management Team.
  • Plan daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities to ensure accomplishment of day-to-day and long-term objectives, and meet timelines.
  • Assist with the administration of YNCU's credit policies to ensure all loans and credit applications are effectively evaluated and adequately secured.
  • Assist with the administration of branch operations to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Identify, create, and implement ways to streamline work processes to achieve time, resource, and cost efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma and/or certification in business, finance, or a related program, or equivalent business experience.
  • Keen interest in the economic environment and financial trends.
  • Computer literacy and an effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and YNCU's banking system, applications, platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable available vehicle.
  • Bondable.
