Job Title: Patient Flow Coordinator

At HURON PERTH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE, we are seeking a skilled Patient Flow Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Flow Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating room utilization and care requirements. You will act as a liaison between admitting and receiving parties, ensuring seamless communication and efficient patient flow. This is a Casual position, working on a variety of shifts, including 6 or 12-hour days and nights, 7 days a week. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. About the Position:
- Coordinate room utilization and care requirements
- Liaise between admitting and receiving parties
- Ensure seamless communication and efficient patient flow

Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- One (1)-year Medical Office Administration certificate
- Up to six months' previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting
- Previous Meditech experience preferred

Desirable Skills:
- Well-developed keyboarding/computer skills and experience using Meditech and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability for self-direction and to work independently exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision
- Effective time management and organizational skills with an ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated initiative, stewardship, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated excellence in problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent customer focus with demonstrated ability to work well with fellow staff, internal and external customers
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
- Ability to work in an inter-professional environment
- Ability to multi-task while under pressure
