About the Role

As a skilled Environmental Artist at Electronic Arts, you will be responsible for creating immersive and engaging game environments that transport players to new worlds. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of artists and designers who are passionate about bringing innovative ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality 3D environment assets, including terrain, buildings, and vegetation, using industry-standard software such as Autodesk Maya or similar 3D packages.
  • Develop and refine environmental concepts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and visually stunning results.
  • Maintain and improve existing environment pipelines, processes, and tools to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in 3D art creation, specifically in the field of environmental art.
  • Proficiency in popular photo scanning processing software, such as Reality Capture or Meshlab.
  • Strong understanding of photogrammetry principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with LiDar scanning and its applications in game development.
  • Experience working with texture & shader creation suites like Substance Painter and Mari.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $103,200 - $145,600 USD per year, depending on location. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) matching and paid time off. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity opportunities.
