About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafting Specialist to join our team at BFP Engineering Solutions Incorporated. As a CAD Drafting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and supervising other drafting personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design software
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Supervise and train junior drafting personnel to ensure high-quality work
  • Develop and prepare design sketches, construction specifications, and cost estimates
  • Prepare contracts, tenders, and technical reports
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours per week
