As Chief Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own projects as well as the activities of your team, ensuring performance and expertise align with company and PMO requirements.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing approximately 75% of your time on personal projects while dedicating 25% to supporting and leading a team of project managers
  • Providing assistance and support for project planning, problem-solving, and profitability
  • Implementing strategies to enhance team project manager skills in internal processes and work methods based on PMI principles, remaining agile and generating operational reports according to business needs
  • E nsuring quality and compliance with PMI processes and basics in project execution, supported by various systems in place
  • Collaborating with management and the Chief Project Coordinator to improve work practices according to PMI criteria and their implementation
  • Coordinating, planning, assigning tasks, and supervising your team of project managers to ensure effective project execution
  • Ensuring team growth and effectiveness by identifying and implementing suitable strategies, organizing training, and providing development opportunities for team project managers

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum diploma or degree in construction, project management, or engineering
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in construction project management or another related field
  • A high level of project management in the audiovisual industry (a major asset)
  • Experience managing a team (a major asset)
  • PMP certification (a major asset) - must be completed within 12 months of hire and kept current
  • Demonstrated positive leadership skills while collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Demonstrated innovation and openness to new ideas and changes
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • C TS certification (an asset)
  • Experience in blueprint reading (an asset)

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
