Our vertically integrated network of mini-mills, scrap recycling facilities, and downstream operations serves customers across the U.S. and Canada, offering a diverse product mix of merchant steel, rebar, structural shapes, fabricated steel, flat-rolled steel, and wire rod.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hand pick items such as copper bearings, wire harnesses, rags, dirt, rubber, foam, etc. and place them into separate containers.
- Operate and perform routine inspections of mobile equipment.
- Monitor and report the operating condition of production equipment as required.
- Complete and submit checklists or equipment care documents associated with assigned tasks.
- Job performed primarily in a standing/static position.
- Rotating shiftwork.
- Wearing heavy clothing and job-appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required.
- Assist in maintenance tasks as required.
- Assist in tasks to support production efficiency and uptime.
- Assist with plant housekeeping efforts and perform other duties as required.
- Follow all prescribed safety guidelines when operating mobile equipment.
- Perform daily checks to ensure equipment is maintained in proper working order.
- Work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
Requirements:
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including afternoons and nights.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Good attendance and work ethic required.
- Physically able to perform in a labor-intensive environment.
- Heavy industrial or manufacturing experience preferred.
