Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Elfi First School. In this role, you will work closely with early childhood educators to develop and implement programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • You will be responsible for assisting in keeping accurate records and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors as needed.
  • A strong understanding of licensing regulations and child care policies is essential for this role.
  • You will also be required to participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems related to children.
Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing activities that promote the development of children.
  • Support the creation of a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various forms of art, music, and play.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and report to parents, guardians, or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a child care setting.
  • Reliability and ability to work as part of a team are essential.
  • Familiarity with child care policies and procedures is required.

Compensation and Benefits
