About the Role

Guide Woodworking Inc. is seeking an experienced Master Craftsman to join our team in a cabinetmaking position. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and millwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit and reinforce joints.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, also preparing and applying laminated plastics.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of woodworking principles and techniques.
  • The ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
