Traffic Operations Assistant

Job Summary
The City of Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Operations Assistant to join our Engineering Services team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with senior staff to conduct field investigations related to traffic operations and safety, develop field reports, and manage and update branch databases.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations and safety studies, making observations, data entry, and basic data analysis.
- Prepare citizen opinion surveys, presentations, and maintain files, supplies, and equipment.
- Develop basic designs for signage and paint plans using AutoCAD, under the direction of senior staff.
- Liaise with staff in other departments to coordinate work with upcoming projects.
- Ensure OQM documentation is correctly undertaken.
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 12 including drafting courses, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Some experience in general office, clerical, customer service, and/or junior drafting work.
- Valid BC driver's license.
