At Couchie, we are dedicated to providing exceptional support to women with Multiple Sclerosis. We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate support worker to join our team.

Job Summary

As a support worker, you will be responsible for providing daily assistance to our client with personal grooming, personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and occasional errands. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal grooming activities such as washing, bathing, toileting, and brief changes
  • Provide personal care services including feeding, physiotherapy, transfers using a Hoyer lift, and administering medications
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and assist with meal preparation
  • Accompany the client on occasional errands, requiring a valid driver's license
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with individuals with Multiple Sclerosis or similar conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
