Job Summary

We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that supports the growth and development of our students. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement engaging programs that promote learning and fun.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead Activities: Plan and lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local attractions.
  • Creativity Encouragement: Foster creativity in children through various mediums such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Habits Formation: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset but not required.
  • Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate required.
  • Security Checks: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Medical exam required.
Work Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Repetitive tasks and attention to detail are also essential.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 to $60,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
