About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team as a Patient Navigator LPN. This is a full-time, permanent position working 8 hour shifts from Monday to Friday at our location in Toronto, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting patients navigate insurance challenges and available provincial/federal programs to make their medications more affordable. They will communicate with patients, prescribers, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders to support patients through their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options
  • Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients, and clinics, providing required updates
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient healthcare information
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance coverage and reimbursement policies, communicating these changes to healthcare providers and patients

The ideal candidate will possess strong computer and technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, tablets, web-portals/internet use. Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management System is an asset. The candidate should also have accurate data collection and data integrity skills, as well as time management skills and the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of $43 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Additional benefits include dental care, extended health care, on-site parking, and vision care. We also offer flexible language requirements, but French is not required.
