Academic Mentor for Calgary Elementary and Junior/High School English Students

About the Role: Scholars Willow Park is seeking a qualified Academic Mentor to provide one-on-one support to students in Calgary. As an Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a love for learning.

- Provide in-person tutoring services to students in grades 1-12 at our Calgary location.
- Teach English language skills to students, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Work collaboratively with students to set and achieve academic goals.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to individual student needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student growth and confidence.
Requirements:
- Certified Teacher or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Proven experience teaching English to students in Kindergarten to Grade 12.
- Excellent command of the English language, including strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for helping students reach their full potential.
- Exceptional organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
