Job Title: Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Port Elgin Montessori Preschool Inc.

Job Summary:

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This includes sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, as well as dusting furniture and vacuuming carpeting and upholstered furniture.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Dust furniture
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Maintain supplies
  • Clean, polish, and wax furniture
  • Wash and clean interior and exterior windows and other glass surfaces
  • Vacuum floors
  • Shampoo upholstery
  • Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors)
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed
