We are seeking a highly skilled Design Development Specialist to join our team at NAFJ LANDSCAPE & BUILDING STONE SUPPLIER INC. in a permanent full-time capacity.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, production specialists, and clients to establish product requirements and develop innovative design solutions.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Prepare Engineering Designs and Drawings: Utilize software such as AutoCAD to create detailed engineering designs and drawings that meet client specifications.
  • Analyze Drawings for Conformity and Errors: Thoroughly examine drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Consult with Clients and Engineers: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and production specialists to understand project requirements and provide expert advice on design development.

In addition to these core responsibilities, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in construction or drafting.
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
