Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $80 to $96 per visit. In addition to competitive pay, VHA offers a comprehensive benefits and pension plan for permanent eligible employees, as well as compensation for education and professional development.

Job Description

This position involves providing consultation, assessment, and planned interventions for diverse client groups across Southern Ontario and the capital region. The Occupational Therapist will work within a continuous quality improvement framework, ensuring that services are evidence-based and evaluated through regular outcome measurement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions in accordance with professional practice guidelines and standards established by VHA and the relevant regulatory college.
  • Develop and implement client-centered care plans in conjunction with clients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Ensure coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with all members of the client's team regarding plans and schedules for interventions.
  • Document all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries of interventions as required by the profession, referral source, and the organization.
Requirements
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized school of Occupational Therapy.
  • A member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • A valid driver's license with access to a vehicle.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
