Cybersecurity Governance Role Overview

Job Description:
This position involves providing guidance and support to client organizations in their cybersecurity compliance journey. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of NIST 800-171, DFARS 252.204-7012, and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework. Key responsibilities include conducting threat and risk assessments, designing and implementing security measures, coordinating with various teams to develop action plans, articulating the cybersecurity program to employees, and preparing detailed reports on compliance status.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science, or equivalent experience in IT security, risk management, or compliance. Current certification as a Registered Practitioner Advanced (RPA) or Registered Practitioner (RP) is preferred. The ability to achieve a Registered Practitioner (RP) credential under the CMMC version 2.0 framework is required. In-depth knowledge of the CMMC framework, NIST SP 800-171, and DFARS 252.204-7012 regulations. Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP (mandatory), CRISC, CISA, CISM are also necessary. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead projects and drive them to completion are essential.
