Strategic Fundraising Director for Advancement and Alumni Relations

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Fundraising Director to lead our Advancement and Alumni Relations team at AFP Greater Vancouver Chapter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan that encompasses short- and long-term philanthropic goals.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in major gift fundraising, with expertise in prospect research, donor cultivation, and planned giving. You will provide strategic leadership to the development and execution of a comprehensive annual plan for major gifts and fundraising activities, including managing and growing a portfolio of major gift donors.
In this role, you will direct the research, identification, cultivation, and tracking of individual major gift prospects, as well as enhance the University's profile by developing and maintaining effective relationships with key individuals in the media, corporate community, government, and other educational institutions.
You will also facilitate alumni engagement through organizing and coordinating alumni meetings, reunions, and events, and manage Advancement staff including overseeing and participating in selection, mentoring, development, and performance management.

Requirements
- Master's Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum five years' relevant experience in progressively more responsible roles in fundraising at a management level
- Expertise in fundraising, prospect research, donor cultivation, and planned giving
- CFRE designation is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
