Restaurant Operations Director

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fast-paced Symposium Cafe location. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires strong leadership and organizational abilities.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 staff members, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. They will also be responsible for planning and organizing daily operations, developing budgets, and monitoring revenues and labor costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Develop budgets to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies, evaluate daily operations, monitor revenues to determine labor cost, and negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
- Operational Planning: Plan and organize daily operations, set staff work schedules, supervise staff, train staff, and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, provide customer service, and participate in marketing plans and implementation.
- Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members.
Requirements:
- Leadership and Organizational Skills: Excellent leadership and organizational skills are required to manage a team of staff members and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to interact with staff members, customers, and suppliers.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: MS Windows knowledge is an asset.
- Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year (depending on experience).

Hours of Work: 35-40 hours per week.
